Job Description

Position:
Certified Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist /
Tester Job Summary:
We are searching for a reliable, experienced Certified Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist for our Stroudsburg office, bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred, to perform various clinical and office duties and to help keep our healthcare practice running efficiently. Our Certified Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist will assist at the front desk as needed and work directly with healthcare practice staff in offering a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment for our patients, performing STI testing, collecting and processing test samples, maintaining patient records and assisting in basic examinations as needed.
Job Duties:
Collects, reviews and verifies patient information Prepares patients for examination Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks Cleans and prepares examination rooms after and/or prior to patient appointments Assists in the completion of the front desk tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting, registering and processing patients, and attending to other administrative details of the front desk Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential and HIPAA compliant Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Medical Assistant Skills and Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant and/or Phlebotomy program Proficient in drawing blood preferred 1+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital High level of professionalism Strong customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills and proficiency Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cooperatively within a team and to take direction as needed
Salary:
