We serve a diverse community with a wide range of medical services and pride ourselves on compassionate care, clinical excellence, and professionalism. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team.
  • Position Summary:
    The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and able to perform high volume blood draws efficiently and safely while maintaining a high level of patient care.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages
  • Accurately label and process specimens for transport to the laboratory
  • Maintain patient records and documentation according to facility policies
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during specimen collection
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures
  • Manage specimen inventory and supplies
  • Communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and laboratory personnel
  • Collects specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Reduces patient anxiety by providing a calm environment for patients before, during and after the collection process.
  • Disposes of blood or other biohazard fluids or tissue, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, or policies. Disposes of contaminated sharps, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies.
  • Completes requisitions accurately.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified Phlebotomy training program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
