Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)
Job Responsibilities:
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric) Current or prior LabCorp experience
Additional Job Standards:
In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Will cover sites in Arlington, TX and surrounding areas (Grand Prairie, Mansfield) Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Be 21 years of age or older Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision This role will provide the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience. You will be working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Float Incentive:
Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
