Phlebotomist - OB/GYN Specialty Practice (IOP)

High School Diploma or GED (Required) About the Role Our OB/GYN specialty practice is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to support in-office patient care and specimen collection. This role requires accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while interacting with adult and geriatric patients. Job Description Perform 15-20 blood draws daily , including adult and geriatric venipunctures Provide clear communication and a positive patient experience during all specimen collection Conduct venipuncture, capillary puncture, and specimen handling in accordance with clinical standards Collect, label, and process specimens accurately while maintaining specimen integrity Support IOP operations within an OB/GYN specialty setting Assist with troubleshooting, workflow recommendations, and training as needed Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety and compliance procedures Demonstrate excellent customer service and uphold practice standards Top Skills Phlebotomy Blood draw & venipuncture Specimen collection Capillary puncture Specimen processing Customer service Accuracy & attention to detail Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite High School Diploma or GED 2-4 years of clinical experience preferred Role Summary The phlebotomist will assist with various duties supporting patient care and lab operations, including troubleshooting, workflow improvements, and training support. This position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to exceptional patient service. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Katy, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
