/ About the Role We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Director/Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field. The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.

  • 10:00PM What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization Manage onsite inventory and supplies Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Manage onsite inventory and supplies, including receiving shipments to personal address, maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting inventory counts, and ensuring precise stock levels to support classroom and clinical training activities.
Utilize inventory management system (Agiliron) to track supply usage, process inventory adjustments, and complete required documentation in accordance with company policies. Maintain organized inventory storage areas, monitor supply needs, and collaborate with inventory managers and fellow instructors to support efficient classroom operations. Ensure classroom and inventory areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
State Qualifications Director Qualifications:
The School Director must be of good reputation and possess a minimum of five (5) years of administrative or management experience in the medical field. Relevant higher education from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each year of required experience. Commission approval must be obtained prior to employment of the School Director. The Commission may require additional training to maintain approved status, particularly if the school receives more than one substantiated student complaint within a one-year period. Prior to final approval, the School Director must complete the online training outlined in the Director's Resource Guide or attend a Commission-sponsored workshop and demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge required to operate a school. Ongoing training may be required to maintain approval. The School Director is required to be physically present at the school location for the majority of regular operating hours.
Instructor Qualifications:
Instructors must be of good reputation and may not be current students in the same or a similar course of instruction, as determined by the Agency. Instructors must attest, using Agency-provided forms, that they meet one of the following qualifications relevant to the course area being taught: Possess a secondary education and a certificate of completion from a recognized postsecondary program consisting of at least 900 hours in a related field, along with four (4) years of practical experience within the ten (10) years preceding employment; or Possess proof of completion of secondary education and at least five (5) years of related practical experience within the ten (10) years preceding employment. Required Qualifications Current Phlebotomy Certification High school diploma or equivalent Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy Strong communication and instructional skills Reliable transportation A secure address to receive inventory shipments Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills Additional Preferred Qualifications EKG knowledge and work experience Prior teaching or training experience Documents Required Upon Application Copy of Medical Technical Certification (Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technician)
