In this energetic role, you will perform venipuncture and blood sampling procedures with precision, ensuring a positive experience for every patient. Your knowledge of laboratory techniques, physiology, and medical terminology will support seamless specimen processing and contribute to high-quality clinical laboratory operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to advance your skills in a fast-paced hospital environment dedicated to exceptional patient service and care. Duties Perform venipuncture, blood sampling, and capillary draws using aseptic technique to ensure specimen integrity Collect, label, and process specimens accurately according to established laboratory procedures Monitor and record vital signs when necessary to support patient assessment and safety Assist in preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring proper handling and documentation Provide compassionate patient service by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and maintaining comfort throughout collection Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards in all specimen collection activities Support laboratory staff with routine tasks related to specimen processing and data entry as needed Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection within a clinical or hospital setting Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic technique Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture, blood sampling, and phlebotomy procedures with excellent patient care skills Familiarity with hospital protocols for specimen handling, processing, and documentation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required; relevant certifications are advantageous
