Part-time Position Summary This position supports patient service and laboratory operations by performing blood specimen collection, processing, and preparation for shipment. The ideal candidate should have strong venipuncture skills with experience handling pediatric and geriatric patients. This is a lower-volume site where the phlebotomist will work independently while maintaining specimen quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Blood Collection Perform venipuncture and blood draws.
Collect specimens from:
Pediatric patients Geriatric patients General patient population Ensure accurate patient identification and collection procedures. Specimen Processing Process collected specimens according to laboratory procedures. Prepare specimens for shipment. Package samples while maintaining specimen integrity. Follow proper handling and storage requirements. Laboratory Operations Maintain accurate documentation. Follow laboratory safety and compliance procedures. Support daily site operations independently. Customer Interaction Provide professional patient service. Communicate effectively with patients and internal teams. Required Skills (Non-Negotiable) Ability to work independently Candidate must be comfortable working alone at the site. Pediatric and geriatric blood draw experience Must have experience handling different patient populations. Strong venipuncture skills. Specimen processing and packaging experience. Qualifications & Experience Required High School Diploma/GED. Phlebotomy experience. Experience performing blood draws. Ability to work independently. Preferred Prior pediatric and geriatric patient experience. Previous outpatient laboratory or patient service center experience. Strong customer service skills. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Onsite patient service/laboratory environment. Frequent standing and interaction with patients. Must handle specimen processing tasks. No travel required. Compliance Requirements Required:
Hepatitis
B TB MMR T-DAP
Varicella Flu and COVID vaccination are not required. Color vision screening is required. Training Plan Candidate will receive site-specific training before independently managing responsibilities.
