Prior clinical research experience is preferred but not required if the contractor has strong clinical lab, phlebotomy, documentation, and chain-of-custody skills. What You'll Do Perform venipuncture for clinical trial participants. Initiate IV lines when required and within scope of training/certification. Collect, process, label, aliquot, and prepare clinical trial specimens according to protocol-specific requirements. Maintain accurate sample logs, chain-of-custody documentation, and laboratory records. Follow study-specific lab manuals, GCLP principles, IATA shipping requirements, and INWR procedures. Prepare specimens for shipment and coordinate with INWR staff on time-sensitive sample handling. Maintain freezer logs, lab manuals, and sample tracking systems as assigned. Communicate clearly with INWR staff while maintaining independent contractor status.
Schedule / Availability
This role is scheduled as needed based on clinical trial visit requirements. Most visits occur Monday-Friday during business hours. INWR will coordinate scheduling based on participant visits and the contractor's stated availability whenever feasible, typically more than 1 week in advance. Because clinical trial specimen collection can be time-sensitive, reliability and clear communication about availability are essential.
