Job Description
VIARO- Mobile Phlebotomist •Position is a PRN/As Needed Basis 1099 Contracted Position •Contractors may accept or decline assignments Description This position collaborates with Site Operations & Event Supervisor. Skill required is direct patient care activities common to the role of a Phlebotomist. Responsibilities Initiate the patient intake process, identify self, and explain your role, greet patients by name ensuring Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) guidelines are followed; properly identify patient by name, date of birth, etc. Obtain patient's height, weight, blood pressure, finger stick glucose values as necessary Perform finger sticks and venipuncture procedures Collects and accurately labels appropriate specimens Perform and document tests and procedures including vital signs, point of care testing, phlebotomy, administer and document treatments including injectable medications and vaccinations, dressing changes Ability to work independently in an electronic health record and/or other medical data collection software Setup and tear down mobile wellness event sites daily Qualifications Phlebotomy certificate, and/or equivalent training and experience American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required Minimum of 1 years related work experience in a clinic environment Experience working with an electronic medical record Ability to problem solve and manage confidential information with discretion Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to address the needs of individuals at all levels Ability to travel, up to one week at a time. Physical Requirements Travel is required 100% of the time Position involves extensive standing, walking, and reaching, frequent sitting, grasping, manipulation of equipment, and using fine finger movements Occasional kneeling, squatting, twisting or climbing may be necessary based on age group or specific population Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body Ability to support full weight of a patient when necessary Observe our safe practices in assisting patients OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Category I, reasonable anticipated risk of site exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials Background Check Requirements All contracted candidates will be subject to pre-contract background screening for this position, which may include motor vehicle, drug testing and credential checks based upon the position description and requirements. All contracts are contingent upon the successful completion of the background check.
Rates:
Per hour contract rate: $23-$28Travel Expenses:
