You will document the client's medical history, including illnesses, surgeries, medications, and healthcare providers, along with their contact information. Physical measurements will include height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and hip-to-waist ratio. Specimen collection typically involves blood and urine samples; occasionally, saliva samples are required. Venipuncture, using a vacutainer (two tubes), is necessary, and strong phlebotomy skills are essential. Additionally, you may perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with a portable device—training will be provided if required.
