Job Description

Overview Physical Therapist (PT) - Kodiak, Alaska. Travel assignment starting 06/08/2026 for Weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,250 to $2,296 and 72 guaranteed hours every two weeks. Shift is 5x8 days. This role supports outpatient, inpatient, and long-term care (SNF) services in a 46-bed setting that provides a broad PT scope, including wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatric specialties. First-time travelers are welcome; licensing must be valid in Alaska.

Shift:
5x8 days; weekend coverage required
Housing/vehicle:
housing (typical 1-bedroom) and a traveler vehicle may be provided
Floating:
coverage across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF; block scheduling possible Responsibilities Perform PT evaluations, develop prognosis-based plans of care, and manage discharge planning for patients across all ages (adult and geriatric; pediatric cases may be involved) Implement therapy interventions including gait training, transfers (Hoyer/lifts), ROM, strengthening, and balance activities Provide wound care, lymphedema management, pelvic floor therapy, and pediatric-related services as clinically appropriate Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in Epic; communicate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds as needed Collaborate with care teams to coordinate care across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings; ensure safe patient handling and family / caregiver education Screen for unit-specific skill requirements and adapt practice to meet patient needs and coverage requirements Requirements Alaska state PT license (valid; pending licenses not accepted) BLS certification Minimum 1 year PT experience; first-time travelers accepted; pediatrics experience preferred but not required Ability to work across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings; willing to float to affiliate sites if needed Must be able to perform required skills per unit and participate in a 5x8 day shift with weekend coverage Training modules required pre-start (approximately 16 hours non-billable) Benefits and Support Housing assistance with traveler vehicle; typically 1-bedroom accommodations; pets not allowed; limited family approval Dedicated recruiter and travel support with 24/7 access Fast credentialing process to facilitate start Extension opportunities and nationwide assignments for eligible travelers Referral bonus up to $1,000 Comprehensive support throughout the assignment, including orientation and ongoing coordination Find more opportunities If you'd like to explore other openings available through Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to view additional travel and permanent opportunities and apply.
