1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient-focused role at a critical access hospital in Valdez, AK, with experience in acute care and SNF settings required. Details Critical access hospital setting with primarily outpatient caseload, with some inpatient and SNF coverage Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00-17:00) 13-week assignment Block schedule accommodations available Epic EMR required No on-call or float requirements within the unit Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Requirements Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required Experience in outpatient, acute care, and LTC/SNF settings required Current BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with rental car coverage required License required if applicable SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Pending licensure accepted Former permanent Providence staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before working as a traveler All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment Time off requests are approved on an individual basis and must be communicated prior to offer; post-offer RTO requests may be denied The facility provides housing (typically a 1-bedroom apartment) and a shared-use vehicle for the duration of the assignment Housing is available no earlier than 72 hours before the contract start and must be vacated within 24 hours of contract end; pets are not allowed The provided vehicle is for local use only (within 30 miles of the facility) and may not be taken off-road; only the traveler is authorized to operate the vehicle Travelers must turn in the vehicle during any time off and will receive a new one upon return Local candidates are not accepted
