ASAP About the Position Job Title Physical Therapist Location Tawas City, MI Schedule / Job Type Contract | Part-Time | Days | Outpatient Key Responsibilities Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance, coordinated with physician orders Submit and maintain written treatment regimes as part of the plan of care, updating as needed to reflect changes in patient status Devise frequency- and duration-specific treatment schedules in coordination with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding their condition, prognosis, and rationale for treatment interventions Delegate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides, co-signing verbal orders received by the Physical Therapist Assistant as necessary Required Qualifications Active Michigan Physical Therapist License (LARA verified, Active status required) Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association Prior outpatient physical therapy experience required Physical Therapist experience required Skills Checklist current within the last year, pertinent to Physical Therapy (required documentation) Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required documentation) Preferred Experience / Skills Experience in an acute care setting as a secondary practice area Familiarity with coordinating care across outpatient and acute care environments Why Join Us Work within a well-established acute inpatient facility offering a broad range of services including surgical, emergency, imaging, and maternity care Opportunity to practice in a patient-focused outpatient environment with a supportive clinical team
