Physical Therapist

JOB SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the coordination and treatment of outpatient orthopedic patients. The Physical Therapist is to implement approved treatment protocols into their daily patient care.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Therapy Must be a licensed physical therapist in the state of Alabama.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to work with a team effectively and efficiently Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with clinic staff and providers Ability to efficiently use an EMR (electronic medical record) for patient charting Knowledge of the EMR's Practice Management software Must be tech savvy with advanced computer skills Quick learner of new processes and software applications Good communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other team members Ability to follow pre-established procedures and protocols from providers Understanding of the medical billing process and coding as it relates to physical therapy treatments.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to offer treatments that help improve the patients' motion and mobility to full functionality Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques Provide quality and personalized care to the patient and treatment area(s) Consult and communicate with referring providers Document, dictate, and chart patient encounters on a daily basis.
