Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential physical therapy services across a K-12 district setting. This full-time, contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated and adaptable physical therapist passionate about working in a school environment. You'll play a vital role helping students reach their potential by creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that promote mobility, independence, and success in the classroom. This position is scheduled for 37.5 hours each week, with school-day hours of 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM, from August 6th to December 8th. You will serve sites throughout the district, supporting a diverse student population ranging from kindergarteners to high school seniors.
Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Alabama Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or educational settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload across multiple locations Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct PT services to students in grades K-12, ensuring each student's unique needs are met Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions Participate in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and document student progress Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals Travel between district sites as needed during school hours
