Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant eager to make an impact in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time role spans 37.5 hours per week and provides the chance to work with students from a variety of backgrounds, supporting their physical development and mobility within school environments. This position also includes Extended School Year (ESY) services for two days per week during specific weeks in June. What you'll bring: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Arkansas Prior experience in school or pediatric physical therapy is highly valued Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions within educational systems Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with students, teachers, and families Dedication to creating inclusive, supportive solutions for children with unique needs Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and design personalized therapy plans for students in alignment with IEP goals Implement interventions to enhance students' functional abilities and access to learning Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports for educational teams and family members Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into students' daily routines Provide support during ESY sessions (two days/week during June 8-11, June 15-18, and June 22-25), ensuring continuity for those who qualify Compensation for this rewarding role is between $33 and $50 per hour, dependent on experience.
