Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist specializing in Corrections, where you will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of individuals within correctional facilities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional abilities within correctional settings. Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics, and geriatrics to facilitate recovery and improve quality of life. Provide hands-on treatment sessions addressing acute care needs, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic conditions. Coordinate discharge planning to ensure seamless transition from inpatient or hospital care to home or community environments. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed treatment records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care strategies, including home health and outpatient services. Educate patients on injury prevention, physiotherapy exercises, and self-care techniques to promote long-term health management. Qualifications Valid licensure as a licensed Physical Therapist with relevant state or regional credentials. Demonstrated experience in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care planning processes. Proven ability to manage diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics with compassion and professionalism. Experience with EMR systems for documentation and patient management. Skills in various physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics, and rehabilitation exercises. Familiarity with discharge planning procedures and community care coordination is highly desirable. Pay:
$2,600.00 - $2,800.00 per week
