Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting for the upcoming full academic year. This position, located near Antioch, CA, offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to children's educational journeys by fostering their physical development and well-being. Bring your expertise in pediatric physical therapy to collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals. In this role, you'll address diverse needs, provide direct therapeutic services, and play an essential part in creating accessible learning environments.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in school settings preferred Demonstrated skills with individualized education programs (IEPs) Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric physical therapy practices Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students' physical motor skills Develop, implement, and update individualized therapy goals within IEP frameworks Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to meet students' needs Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and school staff Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records Participate in IEP meetings and communicate recommendations Adapt interventions to diverse learning and mobility needs across the school year You'll have the benefit of a stable contract for the full school year, allowing you to establish meaningful connections and see the positive results of your support.
