Job Description

This part-time role, set for the 2026-2027 school year, offers a chance to work just 3-4 hours per week in an engaging educational environment near Berkeley, California. Your specialized skills will support students in reaching their full potential, empowering them through movement, participation, and independence.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid California Physical Therapist license Previous experience delivering PT services in a school setting preferred Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant documentation Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students of all backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' physical abilities and develop tailored intervention plans to support their educational goals Provide direct therapy services in accordance with IEP objectives and state regulations Work closely with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily activities Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings by providing clear, timely reports Educate students, families, and staff about exercises and accommodations to enhance participation Maintain accurate, confidential records and uphold ethical standards within school policies This flexible contract position is designed for professionals who value work-life balance while making meaningful contributions in the community.
