Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity making a difference for young learners as a physical therapist working part-time in a school-based setting. This contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about early intervention and providing high-quality support to PreK students during the FSY term. You'll be part of a collaborative environment where your expertise helps students reach essential developmental milestones.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Experience in school-based pediatric therapy, particularly with PreK students Familiarity with special education settings (SPED experience is a strong plus) Bilingual in Spanish is highly valued Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff Ability to organize, document, and manage caseload efficiently
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to a primarily PreK population in accordance with IEP goals Evaluate and document students' physical abilities, progress, and adaptations Work closely with special education teachers, assistants, and other support staff Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and recommendations Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' therapy needs Share professional insights and collaborate on strategies for student success Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and educational standards This part-time, flexible schedule (15 hours per week) allows you to focus on making genuine impact while maintaining work-life balance.
