Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as a dedicated Physical Therapist supporting students throughout the school year in a contract, full-time itinerant position. Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to traveling between schools is essential for success in this dynamic environment. As a supervising professional, you will guide Physical Therapist Assistants and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring each student receives the best possible care and support.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in California Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred Bilingual Spanish skills strongly desired for enhanced communication with students and families Strong flexibility and organizational skills to manage travel between multiple school sites Proven ability to supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) Understanding of IEP processes and effective communication with staff, students, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to students according to IEP requirements Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that facilitate access to the educational environment Supervise and provide guidance to PTAs, ensuring high standards of care and compliance Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student goals and document progress Travel between assigned school sites as needed, adapting to changing schedules and priorities This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals seeking flexibility and diversity in their daily work, while making a difference in the lives of students.
