Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - PT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in pediatric physical therapy to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners from preschool through 3rd grade. Work part-time (2 days per week) providing direct therapy and assessments to a caseload of 13 students, including one in a non-public school and the remainder across three elementary schools. Make an impact by helping children develop critical physical skills to support their academic and daily success.
Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license (California PT) Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare PT Ability to manage a small, diverse caseload independently Understanding of IEP procedures, therapy documentation, and accommodations in school settings Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families Reliable means of transportation to travel between schools
Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled therapy services (approx. 6.25 direct service hours weekly) as determined by students' IEPs Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments as scheduled or needed Collaborate with educational teams, families, and other providers to ensure optimal care plans Document therapy sessions, progress, and assessment results in compliance with school and state regulations Travel between multiple school sites and a non-public school to serve all assigned students Contribute input to IEP meetings and help adapt strategies to the educational environment This contract position offers flexibility with a two-day weekly schedule, allowing you to maintain work/life balance while making a meaningful impact in students' lives.
