JOB SUMMARY
Frontline Health Staffing is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist will plan, organize, develop, administer, and supervise physical therapy services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide physical therapy services to patients according to a written, individualized plan of care
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status of patients ages 18 and older
- Assess muscle strength, mobility, gait, ROM, and transfer capabilities
- Direct physical therapy treatment and determine priority needs for each patient
- Provide equipment required to increase patient function and independence
- Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances and prosthetic devices
- Initiate physical therapy programs and instruct other personnel and/or family members in certain phases of care
- Participate in patient discharge planning and submit clinical progress summaries
- Provide supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff
- Provide in-service education programs for nursing personnel as needed
- Actively participate in quality assessment and performance improvement teams
- Report patient reactions to treatment or changes in condition to the physician
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and participate in case conferences

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Current, valid California Physical Therapist license (or evidence that application for licensure has been accepted)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with insured vehicle in good working order
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a hospital or rehab setting
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions and manage competing priorities
- Experience supervising PTAs, support staff, or PT students
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
- Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
ATTENDANCE
Regular and punctual attendance is required. Employee must follow all facility guidelines outlining standards of attendance and punctuality.
