PM Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to support inpatient rehabilitation services within an acute care hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have prior acute rehabilitation experience or demonstrate willingness to float to acute rehab units following appropriate orientation. This role focuses on delivering high-quality rehabilitative care, improving patient mobility and functional outcomes, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans for inpatient rehabilitation patients Provide therapeutic interventions focused on restoring mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on patient response and clinical goals Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation teams regarding patient care and discharge planning Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, safety precautions, and home exercise programs Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols Float to like units as needed based on staffing and operational requirements Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient outcome discussions
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of Physical Therapy experience required Acute rehabilitation experience preferred Willingness to float to acute rehab units with orientation required Active California Physical Therapist license required Pending licenses not accepted Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills required Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
