This contract role, based onsite near Orange, CA, offers you the rewarding opportunity to collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their physical and academic potential.
Essential Qualifications:
Active California Physical Therapist license Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation standards Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both multidisciplinary teams and families Comfortable maintaining accurate and timely records Adaptable approach to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy interventions to students with a variety of physical challenges Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional recommendations to support student goals Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure the integration of therapy objectives within classroom activities Monitor, document, and report on student progress in accordance with district and state guidelines Offer training and guidance to staff on positioning, mobility, and equipment usage for students as needed Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive therapy environment
