Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by providing physical therapy services in a dynamic school-based setting. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, offering a focused weekly schedule of 9 hours. You'll play an integral role in supporting student wellness and development, working closely with educators and families to foster positive outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Physical Therapist (PT) license Experience delivering PT services in school-based or pediatric settings Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and interdisciplinary staff Demonstrated ability to adapt and personalize therapy plans for children with diverse abilities Organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and maintain timely records
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized plans to support educational access Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and parents to integrate therapy supports within classroom routines Deliver direct and consultative PT services in accordance with IEP goals Document progress, complete required reports, and actively participate in IEP meetings as needed Provide training or resources to staff and families to enable continuity of therapy strategies Uphold compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines related to school-based therapy Perks of the
