Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in California Prior experience in pediatric or school settings is strongly preferred Understanding of IEP development and relevant documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct screening, assessments, and evaluations of students' motor development and physical needs Develop and implement tailored therapy interventions within the educational setting Participate in the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work closely with teachers and other specialists to support students' physical access to curriculum and activities Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements Offer training and guidance to staff and families to promote student independence and participation This contract role empowers you to make a lasting difference in students' educational experiences, all while maintaining excellent work-life balance.
