This part-time contract position is ideal for a skilled Physical Therapist who thrives in educational environments and is passionate about working with students from preschool through 3rd grade. With a manageable caseload of 13 students—including one in a non-public school and the rest across three elementary sites—this role offers the chance to provide targeted therapy services and collaborate with dedicated educational teams.
Key Qualifications:
Valid California Physical Therapist (CA PT) license Experience in school-based therapy or pediatric settings Expertise in assessments, developing therapeutic plans, and direct intervention Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff and families Efficient time management for multi-site service delivery and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments for students as needed Deliver direct therapy services per IEP requirements, averaging 6.25 hours weekly over 2 days Support a caseload of preschool through 3rd grade students, adapting techniques to diverse needs Travel between three elementary locations and one non-public school as assigned Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and participate in IEP team meetings Educate and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers This position is thoughtfully designed for those who appreciate part-time flexibility while making a tangible difference.
