Job Description
Read this first This role is not for you if you want to maximize hourly pay above everything else. Kaiser, Sutter, and UCSF pay more, and they should — they treat twice the volume we do. We're not trying to compete with hospital systems on comp or pension. If that's your priority, take the hospital job. It's a good one. This role is for you if you want to practice the way you trained — with the autonomy to think, the time to actually treat, and a real voice in how a growing clinic gets built. Who we are Graspmore PT is San Francisco's leading fully out-of-network orthopedic and sports physical therapy clinic. We humanize healthcare in a system that treats people like injuries, not individuals. That means one full hour with each patient. Roughly half the caseload of an in-network clinic. Notes finished in 2-3 minutes so you go home on time. No SOAPs at the kitchen table. No insurance authorizations eating your afternoon. PT the way you were trained to practice it. What you'll actually get Real clinical autonomy. You build your own schedule. You decide how to treat. You have a voice in clinical programs, community partnerships, and how we grow. Your perspective shapes the direction — marketing and front-desk handle the heavy lift. Mentorship that's actually scheduled, paid, and broad. Weekly 1:1s during work hours covering clinical reasoning, leadership, money psychology, personal investing, and the business side of running a practice. Last month one of our mentorship hours covered a tough cervicogenic case, the psychology of pricing your own services someday, and how we're rolling out a patient appreciation program inspired by Unreasonable Hospitality . That's a normal week here. A real salary, not a productivity treadmill. You're paid for a full day's work regardless of how many patients are on your schedule. We handle filling your caseload — that's our job, not yours. $110K-$135K base (DOE), plus end-of-year and team utilization bonuses, with merit-based raises that typically happen more than once a year. Full benefits. Health, dental, vision, PTO, sick leave, $1,000+ annual continuing education (you pick the course), free gym access, and paid workout time on the clock when your utilization is on track. A team you'll actually like. Monthly paid happy hours, regular afternoon team workouts in our clinic gym, quarterly outings (VR, bowling, escape rooms, pasta nights), and paid biweekly peer meetups. Small enough team that everyone's perspective matters. Who we're looking for You're a DPT (licensed in California or license-pending) who got into this profession to actually help people get better, not to push them through 15-minute slots. You want to grow as a clinician and as a person. You'd rather have agency over your work than a title at a system you can't change. You're curious about the business of healthcare, not just the clinical side. You're a good teammate. New grads and 1-5 year PTs are both encouraged to apply. Manual therapy fellowship, OCS, SCS, or CSCS are pluses but not required — we care more about how you think than what's on your resume. Ready? Apply through LinkedIn or send your resume and a short note about why this resonates to kevin@graspmorept.com. We read every application personally. Welcome to the Comeback Club.
