Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a contract physical therapist to support students across multiple schools in a very itinerant role for the upcoming academic year. This assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The position requires travel throughout the district, primarily serving students from early childhood through transition at a variety of school sites—caseloads are intentionally small at each location, ensuring a manageable workload and the chance to develop meaningful connections.
Key Qualifications:
Active California license in physical therapy required Previous experience in school settings preferred: skilled in pediatric therapy and IEP documentation Ability to manage a very itinerant schedule and work independently Comfortable collaborating with teachers, staff, and families across multiple locations Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services to students across the district in accordance with IEP goals Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs in early childhood through transition settings Consult with educators and contribute to IEP meetings to promote student growth Travel to up to a dozen school sites as assigned, delivering services onsite only Keep accurate records and progress notes, ensuring compliance with district and state documentation standards This role offers a dynamic professional experience, exposure to diverse student needs, and a collaborative, student-centered atmosphere where your talents will make a daily difference.
