ABOUT THE POSITION
We provide outpatient orthopedics physical therapy (both 1:1 and group sessions), pelvic floor physical therapy, inpatient orthopedic physical therapy, fitness classes, return to sport training and physical therapy for athletes in 3 newly renovated clinics. Patient population ranges from about 7 years old to 100. We are looking for a Physical Therapist to provide excellent patient care. Your responsibilities will include (partial list): Perform the essential job functions of a Physical Therapist in the treatment of clients with health care needs, as prescribed by a physician and as authorized by the therapist's Scope of Practice under the therapist's license. Read and evaluate written information such as physician's referral, diagnosis and imaging reports; evaluate problems and develop treatment plans, goals and plan of service as clinically required. Confer and consult with prescribing physicians as needed; collaborate with other professionals to provide continued care outside the limitations of the clinic if necessary. And more ... We see in you someone who is eager to learn, accountable, intelligent and who wants to collaborate with others. We hope to hire therapists with an entrepreneurial spirit that want to grow with the practice, seek a promotion to a clinic director position, and bring outside cash pay programs into our spectrum of services. A unique, mid-size city developed along Central California's coastline, Santa Cruz is located just 2 hours north of Big Sur, 2 hours south of San Francisco, and 45 minutes west of the heart of Silicon Valley. Ours is a charming beach community including two state-of-the-art colleges and a reputable vacation destination for travelers from all over the world. Santa Cruz County offers epic coastlines, giant redwoods and several locally sourced, artistic city centers. Whether your perfect day includes mountain biking, wind-surfing, stand-up paddle, trail running or a simple stroll to your farm-to-table eatery, sushi bar or artisan ice cream shop, Santa Cruz has it all and year-round sunshine to match. Why you should come work for us: We are an education focused clinic founded by therapists, managed by therapists. The two owners provide ongoing mentoring for Physical Therapists on our staff including 8-weeks of comprehensive documentation, billing and diagnosis training based in applying a physical therapy diagnosis using Movement Systems Impairment (MSI) by Shirley Sahrmann. Our owners have worked over the last 14 years to create the kind of collaborative clinical environment they would have liked to work in as new grads in order to help therapists apply tools learned in Physical Therapy school in real world treatment in order to get patients better faster.
