In this role, you will evaluate, treat, and educate patients recovering from occupational and non-occupational injuries, helping them restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and return to their daily activities safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient outcomes, excels in a collaborative healthcare environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and evidence-based care. What You'll Do Patient Care & Treatment Evaluate patients with functional limitations resulting from work-related injuries, accidents, surgeries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations and clinical findings. Provide direct patient care utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, modalities, gait training, hydrotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions. Perform, supervise, and delegate patient treatment activities as appropriate. Conduct functional capacity evaluations (FCEs) and ergonomic assessments to support return-to-work and job capability determinations. Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and the proper use of therapeutic supports and equipment. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. Follow established reporting, billing, and documentation procedures utilizing electronic medical record systems. Ensure compliance with quality assurance initiatives and applicable state and federal regulations. Collaboration & Communication Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain effective communication with patients, employers, case managers, insurance adjusters, and clinical staff. Participate in patient care conferences and treatment planning discussions as needed. Professional Development & Support Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities. Assist with clinic tours, client visits, and educational presentations when needed. Support the training and development of students, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals. Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, standards, and treatment techniques. Experience evaluating and treating occupational and musculoskeletal injuries. Knowledge of functional capacity evaluations and ergonomic assessments. Understanding of workplace safety practices and injury prevention strategies. Strong organizational, time management, and workload prioritization skills. Ability to develop and maintain accurate patient records and clinical reports. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to build positive working relationships with patients, physicians, employers, and team members. Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service and patient-centered care. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish. Experience in occupational medicine, workers' compensation, or industrial rehabilitation settings. Experience performing functional capacity evaluations and return-to-work assessments. Education Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE/APTA-accredited physical therapy program. Licensure & Certifications Current Physical Therapist license in the applicable state of practice. Current BLS (CPR/AED) certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
