Job Description

Physical Therapist (DPT) — Threshold Physical Therapy & Performance Arvada & Thornton, CO
  • Part-time to Full-time
  • $40-45/hr DOE
  • Benefits (scaling with hours) The short version Outpatient ortho/sports clinic with 40-minute, one-on-one sessions — one patient at a time, never a double- or triple-booked mill — looking for a DPT to step into an active, growing caseload across our two Denver-metro locations.
We have more evaluations coming in than our current schedule can absorb, and we need another good clinician to meet that demand. If you want a full book of patients you can actually build relationships with, in a model designed so you have the time to treat well, keep reading. Who we are Threshold has served the north Denver metro for the better part of a decade. We're a clinician-owned, owner-operated practice — our founder still treats alongside the team — and we host DPT and sports-medicine physician fellows through the CommonSpirit network. We're orthopedic and sports-focused, and we care about doing the work well. We're growing, and we have real demand on the books right now: evaluations scheduled this week that we want fully covered, and more coming in. We're looking for the right clinician to step in and grow with us. The role Step into an active, growing caseload. You won't start from an empty book. There are patients waiting and new evaluations coming in faster than our current capacity can handle — your schedule should build quickly. 40-minute sessions, one patient at a time. This is the heart of how we practice. We made a deliberate choice not to run a high-volume, double-booked model. You get the time to evaluate thoroughly, treat hands-on, and actually know your patients. The autonomy and time to do the work right. If you're an experienced clinician who's tired of being rushed and stacked, this is the part that matters: we protect your ability to care for people properly. That's the trade we've built the practice around. Full ortho/sports scope. Eval and treat, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, return-to-sport — the range you'd expect in outpatient ortho, with sports populations and fellows in the mix. Flexible between our two sites — Arvada and Thornton, split based on your availability and our scheduling needs. Scheduling support. You're not cold-booking your own evaluations — we have administrative support that helps get new evals onto your schedule and assists where needed, so you can focus on treating. What makes this work The 40-minute model only works when the schedule stays full — that's the honest trade for protecting session quality. So the clinician who thrives here is someone who fills and holds a consistent schedule (we aim for roughly 85% of booked slots completed), shows up reliably, communicates well, and keeps timely, defensible documentation. We give you the time, the support, and the caseload; we're counting on you to keep it full and treat consistently. If building and holding a panel energizes you rather than feeling like a burden, you'll do well here. Who we're looking for Licensed (or license-eligible) DPT in Colorado. 2-5 years of outpatient ortho/sports experience preferred — but honestly, fit matters more than the number. If you're earlier or later in your career and you're a strong, reliable clinician who connects with patients and keeps a full schedule, we want to talk. Someone who likes the 40-minute, one-on-one model and is good at filling it. Bonus if you have an interest in sports populations, manual therapy, or mentoring fellows and students. Compensation & schedule $40-45/hr, depending on experience and fit. Part-time to full-time — we're flexible on hours and can scale them as your caseload grows. Tell us what you're looking for. Benefits that scale with your hours — a growing package (PTO and retirement contributions among them) that expands as you move toward full-time. Happy to walk through specifics in conversation. Two locations, flexible/split — Arvada and Thornton. Why this role, right now We're a small practice that's actively growing, and the person who steps in now steps in early.
That comes with real upside:
a voice in how things run, a relationship with an owner who's in the building and treating beside you, and the chance to grow into a central role as we expand. If you want to be one cog in a large corporate machine, that's not us. If you want to be a known, valued clinician in a practice that's going somewhere — let's talk. To apply Send your résumé and a short note about what you're looking for and the kind of caseload you thrive in to matthew.bressan@thresholdpt.com . Tell us your availability and target hours. We read every one. Threshold Physical Therapy & Performance is an equal opportunity employer.
