Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Looking for your next impactful school-based contract opportunity? This position offers the chance to work as a Physical Therapist in a supportive educational setting near Hamden, CT. The assignment runs from July 1 to July 30, with a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You'll have shorter workdays while making a meaningful difference for students, helping them achieve their therapy goals during the summer program.
Desired Skills & Requirements:
Active Physical Therapy license for Connecticut (or eligibility) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Familiarity with age-appropriate therapy interventions for children and adolescents Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and parents Professionalism, adaptability, and a positive approach to supporting students' growth
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and deliver individualized physical therapy services to students requiring support Develop and implement treatment plans to help students meet physical milestones and participate fully in school activities Document progress, update goals, and communicate observations with educational team members and families Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other therapists to integrate PT strategies into the classroom Maintain compliance with special education plans and school protocols
