Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Take on a meaningful role as a Physical Therapist working with middle and high school students in a school-based setting near Newark, DE. This rewarding contract opportunity runs from 7/6/26 to 8/6/26, with orientation and set-up scheduled for 7/6/26. You'll work Tuesday through Thursday each week, with staff hours varying by location. We are seeking dedicated, in-person candidates who are passionate about making a tangible difference in students' lives. Your background in school-based PT will be crucial as you support a diverse caseload, promoting mobility, independence, and academic access for students at the middle and high school levels.
What You Bring:
Valid Physical Therapy licensure (required) Experience working in K-12 or school-based settings Proficiency in delivering PT interventions for adolescents Strong communication skills, both spoken and written Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Collaborative attitude and adaptability in fast-paced environments
What You'll Do:
Provide expert physical therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for middle/high school students Support the implementation of IEPs by aligning therapy goals with students' educational objectives Document progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Communicate effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and caregivers Advocate for students' mobility and physical needs within the school community
