Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships. Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards. Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director. Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems. Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community. Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
