Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care . Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and patient interaction will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist. Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the physical therapist regarding any changes in condition. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including progress notes and treatment outcomes. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes. Experience Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential for effective communication and understanding of patient needs. Experience in various settings such as inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, acute care, or outpatient clinics is preferred. Familiarity with specific therapeutic techniques such as trigger point therapy is a plus. Previous experience in home health settings is advantageous but not required. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and team members.
