1 Description American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a day-shift position in a hospital-based PT department in Margate, FL. Details Located on the first floor of the main hospital building in a 281-bed facility Physical Therapy department staffed by 11 PTs and 2 PTAs All staff work day shift; shift hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM Patient caseload of 8-10 patients per 8-hour requirement, with 10-13 patients typically assigned Procedures include evaluations, treatment, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities Equipment used includes walkers, crutches, braces, and wheelchairs Documentation system: Meditech Requirements Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required, with active practice within the last 6 months Active Florida PT license required (license required if applicable) Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start) Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates US SSN and DOB required for consideration No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Previous travel experience is preferred; candidates should be quick learners able to get up to speed on Meditech and begin treating patients promptly The department is described as highly cohesive, positive, and hardworking Gray scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
