Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist for pediatric patients where you will play a vital role in restoring and enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Duties Assess patients' physical conditions through detailed evaluations of physiology and anatomy knowledge to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans focused on improving mobility, reducing pain, and promoting recovery across various populations including pediatrics. Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and exercise programs tailored to each patient's goals. Manage discharge planning processes by coordinating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions from hospital or inpatient settings to home or community care. Document patient progress accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards and hospital protocols. Educate patients and caregivers on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention strategies, and the importance of adherence to prescribed care plans. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, adjust treatment approaches, and contribute to comprehensive care strategies. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy essential for accurate assessment and effective treatment planning. Proven experience in acute care environments such as homecare or outpatient with a focus on patient care continuity. Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and care coordination; familiarity with medical terminology is essential. Ability to perform trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy techniques aimed at pain relief and functional improvement. Excellent communication skills for educating patients about their conditions and involving them actively in their recovery process. Experience with discharge planning processes ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to home or community-based settings.
