Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students' physical development at multiple school sites in the Saint Johns, FL area for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, contract assignment is ideal for a Physical Therapist seeking hands-on school-based experience during a 12-week maternity leave coverage. The contract spans from August 10, 2026, through October 30, 2026, with potential opportunities for an early start during the extended school year. The position offers valuable opportunities to make a difference in the lives of K-12 students by ensuring their mobility and motor skills are supported for academic success. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Current FL Department of Health Physical Therapist License Demonstrated experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based physical therapy (preferred) Ability to manage an itinerant schedule, supporting several campuses as needed Strong communication and collaboration skills, working closely with educators, families, and other specialists Compliance with background check and fingerprinting requirements; familiarity with AHCA Clearinghouse is a plus Flexible, proactive, and committed to providing compassionate care Responsibilities Deliver direct physical therapy services to students across varying age groups according to IEPs and district protocols Assess and document student progress, setting measurable therapeutic goals Collaborate with educational teams to adapt physical environments and recommend accommodations Travel between assigned campuses as needed throughout each week Maintain thorough, timely records and participate in applicable meetings Perks Professional experience within a reputable district setting Opportunity to make a direct, positive impact in students' daily lives Collaborative, mission-driven educational environment Licensed Physical Therapists passionate about supporting student growth and achievement will find this role both rewarding and career-enhancing.
