Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team full-time. The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art facility, providing comprehensive rehabilitative services to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, and injuries. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care and helping patients achieve their functional goals.
Education:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Current and valid Florida Physical Therapist license.
Experience:
Preferably 2+ years of experience in orthopedic or outpatient physical therapy settings.
Skills:
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, goals, and evidence-based practices. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and function. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and strategies to enhance recovery. Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards. Stay informed on advancements in physical therapy techniques and integrate them into patient care as appropriate. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to all clinic policies and procedures.
