Gainesville, FL Situated within a leading medical center's second-floor rehab unit, this setting offers a 30-bed capacity staffed by a multidisciplinary team of 22 professionals, including PT, OT, SLP, and rehab techs. Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver skilled therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, functional mobility, ADL retraining, and transfers Educate patients and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Document all patient care using the Meditech (Expanse) system Participate in weekend call rotations and support unit operations

Qualifications:

Valid Physical Therapist license and current BLS certification Experience in inpatient rehab or hospital-based physical therapy preferred Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, evolving hospital unit environment Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care
