  • Float (Acute, Inpatient Rehab & Outpatient) Full-Time | Rome, GA | $8K Sign-On Bonus | Clinical Variety | Mentorship Program The Opportunity A nonprofit hospital system in Northwest Georgia is seeking a Float Physical Therapist to rotate between Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Outpatient settings.
This role offers exceptional clinical variety, structured mentorship, and the opportunity to build a versatile skillset across multiple specialties. Located in Rome, GA , this position is ideal for therapists who want diverse clinical exposure, strong professional development support, and the stability of a large, mission-driven health system.

Float between Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, and Outpatient for well-rounded clinical exposure Cover for maternity leave, vacation, and census bumps across settings Build a versatile skillset while gaining experience in high-acuity acute care, neuro-heavy IPR, and outpatient ortho/sports Part of an 80-person therapy department with strong peer support
Structured Onboarding & Mentorship:
6-month formal mentorship program regardless of experience level Orientation includes: 2 weeks in IPR + 2 weeks in Acute + 3 days in Swing Bed Scheduled shadowing with experienced clinicians for complex cases Weekly 30-minute check-ins during first 3 months Can extend mentorship if needed—support continues beyond onboarding

Level II:

Role Looks Like Across Settings Acute Care:
Stroke, ortho, cardiac, neuro—typical Level II Trauma Center caseload 12-15 patients/day with support from rehab aides for setup/cleanup Fast-paced environment with diverse patient presentations
Inpatient Rehab:
Neuro-heavy IPR caseload (stroke, TBI, ortho, medical debility) 4-5 patients/day with 60-90 minute treatment sessions State-of-the-art gym with ceiling lifts, Motomed, ADL kitchens Focus on quality outcomes and functional recovery
Outpatient:
General ortho, sports, and neuro teams 14-16 patients/day with 30-60 minute sessions (therapist decides based on patient needs) Work with local athletes and post-op patients Supportive clinic environment with experienced
PTs Schedule & Benefits Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM
