Part time Licensed Physical Therapist for 2026-27 Vallivue School District - 3.8 Nampa, ID Job Details Part-time $40 - $65 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Physical Therapy Computer literacy Writing skills HIPAA Driver's License Attention to detail Physical Therapy License Productivity software Physical therapy Full Job Description Vallivue School District is seeking a compassionate, motivated Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services in the school setting (ages 3 to 21) 2.5 days a week not to exceed 19.5 hrs weekly. The candidate would collaborate with highly effective special ed teams as well as our full time physical therapist.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide physical therapy treatments according to the PT's treatment plan. Assess the patient's presentation and performance to determine current level of function and measure change. Communicates with other PT and school team regarding patient progress, problems, and change in status. Communicate, instruct, and educate various school personnel, such as teachers and paraprofessionals on exercise programs, use of assistive devices, transfer techniques, and patient handling and positioning techniques. Documents daily treatment notes in a timely and professional manner. Maintain patient/student confidentiality according to HIPPA and FERPA laws. Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent situations per protocols. Complies with the Idaho State Physical Therapy Act.

REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist school/program. Currently registered and licensed by the State of Idaho. Self motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidate must be detail and goal-oriented. Physical ability to lift and transfer children and participate in handling and doing floor activities with children. Experience with patient transfers and knowledge of various durable medical equipment devices (i.e. walkers, gait trainers, wheelchairs) is strongly encouraged. Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate well with various caregivers and professionals including teachers, OT, SLP, paraprofessionals, bus staff, parents, and parents. Pediatric experience is preferred. Basic understanding of technology including common computer applications (Google, Microsoft Office, internet) Valid Idaho driver's license and reliable transportation
