Job Description

Overview:
NeuroBalance Center is looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to perform Health & Wellness Training services. Located in Barrington, IL, NeuroBalance Center is a non-profit health and wellness center designed to offer services to those who are mobility impaired or suffer from a degenerative neurological condition that may impair mobility. The ideal candidate has a history of working in neurological rehabilitation and modifying exercises/movements based on physical limitations. People with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or other neurological conditions can benefit from health & wellness training to help them regain mobility, strength, and balance. This training is performed by a licensed clinician as a form of personal training, using proven techniques and an evidence-based approach to customize services for each client.
NOTE:
The health & wellness trainer will not perform physical therapy services in this role, but the trainer's PT education and experience will inform the program and approach taken with each client. Why NeuroBalance Center?

Qualifications and Skills:
Current State of Illinois license as a Physical Therapist (PT) with valid state licensure, in good standing, held current throughout the period of work 2+ years of experience working in a neuro-rehabilitation setting Newer graduates with significant neuro-rehabilitation experience are encouraged to apply Ability to assess and address the specific needs of clients Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow client preferences and instructions Maintain Professional Liability Insurance covering the independent contractor throughout the period of work
