Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an engaging summer opportunity providing physical therapy services to students from preschool through 8th grade during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. Help students achieve and maintain their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in a supportive environment across two conveniently located schools on the same campus. This rewarding contract position runs from July 6, 2026, to July 30, 2026, with workdays scheduled Monday through Thursday, 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience providing PT services in school settings preferred Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff Strong skills in documentation and progress monitoring Experience supporting students with diverse physical and educational needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services aligned with established IEP goals Deliver engaging, age-appropriate therapy sessions to a PK-8th grade caseload Collect, track, and report meaningful data on student progress throughout the session Collaborate with staff and parents, preparing comprehensive progress summaries at the end of the program for parent review and the upcoming NSY team This summer position offers a wonderful chance to positively impact students' growth, work with a diverse and supportive community, and gain valuable school-based experience in a focused, part-time schedule.
