Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract role tailored for a skilled Physical Therapist who thrives in a school-based setting. This position is conveniently located near Joliet, IL, and offers part-time flexibility—working onsite two days a week for a total of 15 hours per week, serving K-12 students in both resource and self-contained settings. Begin your experience with a thorough orientation on August 3 and 4, with students arriving on August 7, 2026, and the assignment extending through May 20, 2027.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid licensure and credentials to practice as a Physical Therapist in Illinois Recent experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Comfortable in both resource and self-contained educational environments, working with children from kindergarten through twelfth grade Strong collaborative and communication skills to engage with team members and students
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students on your caseload Develop effective treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals and student needs Coordinate with educators, family members, and other related service providers Maintain accurate and timely documentation Participate in team meetings, roundtables, and professional development opportunities Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the department
