Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services in a welcoming school community near La Grange Park, IL. This full-time position covers pre-kindergarten through 6th grade students across four school buildings—including two that conveniently share a campus and playground. The assignment runs from April 27th through June 4th, making it a great fit for physical therapists seeking to broaden their school-based experience. You'll enjoy working with a very manageable caseload and following an established service schedule. Workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with Wednesdays extending to 4:30 PM. Students are dismissed at 2:30 PM daily, providing valuable planning or paperwork time.
Desired Qualifications:
Active state Physical Therapy licensure (required) School-based experience is a plus, though not mandatory Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse elementary-aged populations Organizational skills for managing schedules and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students from Pre-K through 6th grade within an inclusive educational environment Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support teams to create individualized treatment plans Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Consult with families and staff to ensure cohesive support for each child's physical development Rotate between four school buildings while enjoying a well-supported and structured schedule In addition to a competitive hourly wage, you will have access to comprehensive insurance coverage and 401K options.
