Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver impactful support to students by providing expert physical therapy services on a contract basis in a dynamic school environment. This school-year assignment, located near Murphysboro, Illinois, is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist eager to make a difference while enjoying a flexible schedule of 1-2 days per week (totaling 8-16 hours, tailored to your availability). The role spans from August 2026 through May 2027 and is centered around collaboration and professional growth.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois Recent experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred Familiarity with the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process Strong skills in conducting evaluations and re-evaluations Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience mentoring or co-supervising Physical Therapist Assistants is a plus Effective communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Complete timely IEPs, evaluations, and re-evaluations for a diverse student caseload Work closely with another Physical Therapist, ensuring quality supervision and support for two onsite Physical Therapist Assistants Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to promote student success Develop tailored treatment plans and monitor progress, adjusting approaches as needed to address individual needs Maintain accurate, thorough records in compliance with school guidelines and relevant regulations
