This role is responsible for evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating professional athletes in an elite performance environment, while supporting injury prevention, return-to-play progression, and overall player wellness. A year-round employee, the Physical Therapist will be a full-time role and will attend trainings, scrimmages, Home and Away Games, as determined by the Head Athletic Trainer Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions Develop and oversee individualized rehabilitation and return-to-play programs Provide medical coverage for trainings, matches, and team travel Collaborate with physicians, athletic trainers, performance staff, and coaches Support injury prevention, player monitoring, and concussion management protocols Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with league and regulatory standards Assist with emergency action planning and ongoing player care initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Master's of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an elite sport environment (e.g., professional, collegiate, Olympic). Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Kentucky or ability to obtain prior to start date. CPR certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or equivalent). Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) required.

Preferred:

Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Corrective Exercise Specialization (NASM-CES). Performance Enhancement Specialization (NASM-PES). Soccer-specific experience strongly preferred.
